Step 1.  Select Your Friends       a. Select 1-3 friends you think would enjoy training karate as much as you do.         b. Ask your friend(s) to check and make sure that they can devote at least an hour of practice time a week and attend two or more karate classes consistently on a weekly basis.        c. Give your friend a certificate for a free week of karate training.  d. Offer and make arrangements to join your friend(s) for their first class(es).

Step 2.  Sponsor Patch  When you are successful in having your friend come in for one week of free lessons, you will receive a Tang Soo Do “Sponsor” patch that goes on the right shoulder of your karate  uniform.

Step 3.  Tools Use the tools provided here, to help your friend(s) succeed.            a. Help your friend learn the rules and karate code of ethics.           b. Help your friend(s) learn the basic requirements to achieve their first "Rank".

Step 5.  Leadership Patch After your friend has completed his or her first month of Karate lessons, with your help, you will be awarded a “Leadership” patch.

Step 6. Choose your Award .  When your friend passes his or her first karate test, you will be able to choose between the samurai sword set, complete safety gear or professional bag gloves and hand wraps as your reward for successfully introducing your friend(s) to Tom Bloom Karate.
